14th November 2022 - A paper on Getting the most out of maths: How to coordinate mathematical modelling research to support a pandemic, lessons learnt from three initiatives that were part of the COVID-19 response in the UK has been published in the Elsevier Journal of Theoretical Biology.
7th July 2022 - an INI podcast on Communicating maths: a journalist’s perspective, an interview with Tom Whipple is now available. Tom was recently involved in a V-KEMS Virtual Study Group on The Public Perception of Science, where he presented a challenge on Communicating Mathematics.

18th November 2021 - V-KEMS was awarded “KE Team of the Year” by Simon Bond (Innovation Director, SETsquared Partnership), beating two other candidates to the title. The Awards were sponsored by UKRI, the UK’s research and innovation funding body. Matt Butchers from the Innovate UK KTN accepted the award on behalf of all the V-KEMS partners.
